Vikram Prabhu had signed up a film that was to be directed by GNR Kumaravelan of Haridas fame. This project was expected to go on floors after the actor completes his current assignment Arima Nambi and in the meantime, the director was busy with the groundwork. But now, we hear that the film has been called off by the producer, Jayaraj Jain. Enquiries as to why the project was put in cold storage revealed that the producer was not happy with the budget that GNR Kumaravelan came up with, considering the fact that Vikram Prabhu’s market value is not that high. It may be mentioned here that Vikram Prabhu’s last outing Ivan Vera Mathiri received lukewarm response at the box office. Anjaan is one of the most anticipated movies of the year, no doubt. Made on a high budget, the film stars Suriya and Samantha as the lead pair and is directed by Lingusamy. The shooting of this movie has been wrapped up and it is now into the post production stages. With the film’s release date announced to be as August 15th, 2014, fans are eagerly waiting for the first look teaser to get a glimpse of what they can expect on the silver screens. And here we have news from credible sources that the teaser may be released either on June 11th or 12th. Well, this should make the star’s fans happy! Kannada director Raghava Dwarki blamed Soundarya Rajinikanth for delaying the release of his dream project Matte Mungaru. According the Raghava, he had handed over the post production works of his Kannada movie to Soundarya’s production house in Chennai, but the lady did not keep up with the deadlines. He alleged that Soundarya and her team were very lethargic in handling his project, due to which he had to postpone the release date several times. The filmmaker rued that meeting Soundarya and entrusting her with his dream project was the biggest mistake he had made in his life. |
