Apart from the young actors, director/producer Karan Johar and Gauri Shinde (Balki's wife and "English Vinglish" director) were also present on the sets.
The untitled flick is the second Bollywood outing for Dhanush, who made a fantastic debut in last year's "Raanjhanaa." The film will mark the acting debut of Akshara, who is the younger daughter of versatile actor Kamal Haasan. Akshara's elder sister Shruti Haasan is already a popular star in the Indian film industry and now it remains to be seen if the light-eyed, 22-year-old beauty will be able to impress the audience with her first film.
The upcoming project will be Balki's third outing, post critically-acclaimed and commercially successful films "Cheeni Kum" and "Paa." The yet-to-be titled flick will once again see Amitabh Bachchan teaming up with the ad filmmaker-cum-director. Bachchan had confirmed the news and tweeted, "R Balki me on again for the next film, a unique story as is the norm with him, and working with Dhanush and Akshara Kamal's daughter."
The legendary actor will be seen appearing in a pivotal role in the film. Considering it is a Balki directorial, expectations are high from film's cast and crew.
Music will be composed by the noted composer Ilayaraja, who had worked on the soundtracks in Balki's earlier film releases. PC Sreeram will be handling the cinematography.
