Ever since the news made it to the media that the Rajinikanth starrer Kochadaiiyaan has been certified with a clean ‘U’ certificate without any cuts, media persons started to raise the question on how the film could be censored when its director Soundarya Ashwin was in China for the final post production works.
It has now been clarified that the certificate was given only for the 2D version of the film, which is complete and not for the much-hyped 3D and Hindi versions. Soundarya was busy with the 3D version’s post production work when the film was censored, it has been clarified. So, it is now clear that the filmmakers and censor board officials did not flout any rules.
