 Though Anushka is quite proficient in Tamil, she has never dubbed for any of the films till now. But the actress is set on doing it for the first time for Ajith’s 55.
Sources in the know say that director Gautham Menon wants the actress to use her own voice for this film and she is very keen on doing the same. It would indeed be a special treat for all her fans, more so because she is pairing up with Ajith for the first time. The shooting of this film started last week and it is too early to speculate on such things, adds sources. 
Trade sources are buzzing with the news that Ajith’s 55th movie will have Anushka and Trisha in the lead! Gautham Menon seems to have managed to pull it off finally! What makes this project even more interesting is the fact that it will have Harris Jayaraj scoring the music.
There have been a lot of speculations over the music director but it looks like Gautham and Harris have ironed out their differences to come together for this biggie. We also hear that the shooting of this yet to be titled movie will begin on April 9th in Hyderabad. Watch this space for more updates!  Fans have been eagerly awaiting the official announcement on Thala 55 project. Here's a piece of good news for Thala fans to rejoice. The most awaited project is set to take off on April 9. Sri Sathya Sai Movies who are producing the film have issued an official press release.
The statement reads, "I wish to announce on behalf of Producer AM Ratnam, Sri Sathya Sai Movies, Hero Ajith kumar and Gautham Vasudev Menon that the much awaited project of mighty combination is set to be launched on April 9. The cast and crew shall be announced in detail shortly" Gautham Vasudevan has confirmed the news on his Twitter page. He posted, "Thank you for waiting, all you eager beavers out there, some patiently, some not so. Ajith, ratnam sir and me. Shoot begins 9th. I can't wait to announce the rest of the cast and crew. Especially music. Please wait for a special announcement about the music directo  If reports are to be believed, Harris Jayaraj and Gautham Menon may not be working together for Ajith 55. The reason cited for this is producer AM Rathnam. There are huge expectations among the music buffs that Gautham and Harris would put aside all their differences and team up again for this Ajith starrer but it may not happen, say some sources.
When enquired, we came to know that AM Rathnam had some bad experiences working with Harris during the making of Bheema as he did not complete his work on time and also created some problems for the producer in the salary issue. With this being the scenario, looks like AM Rathnam may appeal to Ajith to reconsider getting Harris on-board this project.  Contrary to reports that Arvind Swamy will be playing one of the baddies in Ajith’s upcoming film to be directed by Gautham Menon, the actor himself had clarified that he is not playing the villain in any movie.
Putting it up on Twitter, Arvind Swamy clarified: “A lot of nonsense being written, I am not playing the villain in any movie, so unless I put it up on twitter, don’t believe these rumours.” Gautham Menon is yet to announce the star cast officially and there are a lot of rumours regarding it. Hope he comes out with the official list soon to put all rumours to end.  Sources are abuzz with the news that Arun Vijay and Aravind Swamy have been signed up by director Gautham Menon to star as baddies. Arun Vijay, incidentally, was onboard for Dhuruva Natchathiram, but with the project put in the cold storage, he has allotted the dates for this Ajith starrer, say sources.
Looks like this Gautham Menon directorial will have three handsome heroes sharing the screen space! Gautham Menon is expected to announce it officially in a few days right when he takes this film on to the floors. Anushka is expected to play the leading lady. The breaking news that is doing the rounds now is that Ajith will be teaming up with director Shankar after completing his ongoing film with Gautham Menon. If sources are to be believed, Shankar had narrated a script to Ajith and Ajithwas completely impressed by it.
Another interesting scoop is that Aishwarya Rai is expected to play the leading lady in the film. It is worth mentioning that she had played the leading lady in Shankar’s Enthiran and Jeans before. We will have to wait for the official word from director Shankar, before we could raise the expectations for this film. |
