The breaking news that is doing the rounds now is that Ajith will be teaming up with director Shankar after completing his ongoing film with Gautham Menon. If sources are to be believed, Shankar had narrated a script to Ajith and Ajithwas completely impressed by it. Another interesting scoop is that Aishwarya Rai is expected to play the leading lady in the film. It is worth mentioning that she had played the leading lady in Shankar’s Enthiran and Jeans before. We will have to wait for the official word from director Shankar, before we could raise the expectations for this film. The curtain raiser and the audio launch of Hindi version of Superstar’s ‘Kochadaiyaan’ happened at a star-studded event yesterday and it was attended by Bollywood’s top stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kajol, Anupam Kher, Subhash Ghai, Ramesh Sippy and Shekar Kapoor. Rajinikanth and Soundarya R Ashwin were also part of the function. After attending the event, the celebrities were in all praise about the film and its director Soundarya R Ashwin. Check out what the Bollywood stars had to say about the film: Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted ”Back from the launch of ‘KOCHADAIIYAN’… Rajnikanth’s motion capture technology film, directed by his daughter… INCREDIBLE !! A woman has shown what man could not … First motion capture film. Women Empowerment! India can boast of this achievement, despite the social lacunae that still exists.” Anupam Kher had tweeted ”Meeting ‘The Rajnikanth’ at the trailer & music launch of Kochadaiiyan was amazing. What I saw today is HISTORICAL. Kochadaiiyaan is directed by Soundarya Rajnikanth. This film will be a Game Changer in Indian Cinema. Take a bow. Rajini my friend BRAVO.” Shekhar Kapoor had tweeted “Rajnikanth’s daughter Soundarya has done what seemed impossible. She has made Kochadaiyaan in a technology that has immortalized her father.” Samantha is one fiery actress who speaks her heart out; especially in issues that are socially relevant. This has put the pretty actress in difficult situations in the past but she has never refrained and that shows her spirit. Perhaps, this is the reason behind reports surfacing that she might join the YSR Congress and campaign for the victory of Jagan Mohan Reddy. When Samantha was asked if she would be campaigning for this political party, she stated that there is no truth in it as she doesn’t have plans to enter politics at all. Samantha is currently busy with ‘Anjaan’ and ‘Kaththi’ in Tamil. Jagajala Pujabala Thenaliraman is getting ready to hit the screens on April 18th, 2014 and the members of the Telugu Yuva Shakthi have requested the Censor Board officials to appoint a Committee comprising the Andhra historians to check if the film contains anything that derogates the folk hero, Thenaliraman. Thenaliraman is a folk hero from the Andhra region and the members of the Telugu Yuva Shakthi opine that the film might contain scenes that may heap insults on the legend who had lived during the reign of King Krishnadevarayar. With this Vadivelu starrer being censored with a clean U already, it needs to be seen if the censor board officials would oblige. In a shocking development, popular rap singer Aaryan Dinesh has accused GV Prakash Kumar for not crediting him for the lyrics he had contributed for Naan Sigappu Manithan’s ‘Lovely Ladies’ song. Check out Aaryan Dinesh’s post on Facebook: I am an artiste with morals and self dignity, I am not scared to speak the truth rather than being a cowered. I am extremely disappointed with so called music composer Mr. G.V.Prakash for violating my lyrical content and this should be stopped as many singers, rappers or performers keep their mouth shut when it happens. I am disappointed with G.V.Prakash for few things, 1. Called me asking to work on a full song and tune for a movie. 2. Selecting one of my brand new song to be used in the movie with changes. 3. Then telling me the Director Didn’t like the song!!!! 4. Then not informing me my vocals and lyrics was used in some song. 5. When I message I get this reply, since you wanted an opportunity we have used your vocals and lyrics and made me say thank you! 6. When the song is released I see, My lyrics has been used crediting Na Muthukumar Sir (No Disrespect to you sir) and crediting my name for vocals 7. Then when I hear the song… THAT VOICE DOES NOT BELONG TO ME 8. G.V.Prakash rips my lyrics and given a courtesy credit for vocals which is not mine and it is a total disgrace to Rap Music or (Tamil Hip hop) I feel insulted and humiliated. Being an establish composer or anyone in this caliber please do not do this type of disgusting things. I see you don’t understand what hip hop or Tamil rap is, if so get to know or rather stop looking down on people who do it good. I am very disappointed and I am not going to let this go. Dear Fans, The song “Lovely Ladies” from the movie Naan Sigappu Mandian does not contain my vocals…. The lyric which starts “Young Kid in the Club” belongs to me without my vocals rather I be credited for lyrics and I can’t take credit for Dumb Moron rapping without knowing what it is. WHERE THE HELL IS TAMIL CINEMA GOING? If I don’t speak this will happen to upcoming artiste who dream to work for Tamil Cinema. Are you serious you come from the same family where The Legend come from? Thank you Mr. G.V.Prakash and you have to answer this! or you can ignore!! Do Not turn the entire picture around.. please be a man! Well, we have to wait and see how GV Prakash will react to this! Naan Sigappu Manithan, which is gearing up for release on April 11th, 2014, is currently into the last leg of the post production stages. The film is due to be censored very soon and we hear that the censor board officials may require the much-hyped lip-lock scene to be removed from the film to award it with a ‘U’ certificate. This lip-lock scene between Lakshmi Menon and Vishal is considered to be the USP of Naan Sigappu Manithan and it is doubtful if the filmmakers would have it removed. However, with the U certificate being mandatory for the 30 percent entertainment tax exemption, the filmmakers might oblige and go ahead with the cut, say sources. The shooting of Anjaan was disrupted in Mumbai yesterday, March 30th, 2014, state trade sources. A group of people raised slogans at the sets of this film in Mumbai and forced the unit to pack up and leave the place to avoid a clash. This group was protesting against the screening of Inam. It may be mentioned here that Inam has been directed by Santosh Sivan, who is wielding the camera for Anjaan and distributed by the film’s director Lingusamy through his banner Tirupathi Brothers. Perhaps this threat forced Lingusamy to remove the film from the theatres? Suriya will complete Anjaan very soon and move over to Venkat Prabhu’s project in May or June. Though the director is busy preparing the groundwork for this film, discussions regarding the pay for the director is still on, say sources. We hear that Venkat Prabhu’s demand is much too high for Suriya, who is considering on producing this film under his own banner. It is said that only if both the parties agree on the pay packet, this film will go on floors or the director may opt out. Well, the announcement will be made soon, we expect.
