Has Ileana secretly tied the knot with her boyfriend as suggested by her Instagram post? Actress answers. Despite Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma never admitting to their relationship nor revealing their marriage plans, the whole world expected an announcement and were not caught off-guard when they finally tweeted the news.
However, that was not the case with Ileana D’Cruz and her boyfriend (or husband) Andrew Kneebone. In December last year, the actress shared a blurry picture of herself with a Christmas tree on Instagram, but the post giving photo credit to her ‘hubby’ set tongues wagging. The actress reacted to the post in a recent interview to a tabloid and the answer is maybe clearer or maybe not. “It’s exactly what you see. What’s great about the social media is that I can let people in to an extent but I don’t like talking about my past… How the relationship started and where… in interviews. It’s too personal. I won’t hide it and I won’t deny it. Everything is out there for everyone to see, don’t ask me too many questions about it. I’ll tell you what I want to tell you. Period,” Ileana told Mumbai Mirror. When probed further, she laughed and said, "Like I said, everything is out there, I don’t need to answer your question.” Andrew is an Australian photographer and while the topic of nepotism in Bollywood is always debated, Ileana has never thought about him joining the industry. “I don’t know, I’ve never asked him. That would be a really big move but I also know that he is someone who would love to do something like that. He’s taken some really cool pictures of Varun (Dhawan) and Alia (Bhatt) on a flight, Ranveer (Singh) and Salman (Khan) during a show I did with them. He’s great with photos but him moving here and making a career in Bollywood is something only Andrew can answer. I think he’ll totally be up for it!” she said. Not just the headline-grabbing Instagram post, Ileana’s profile is filled with numerous lovey-dovey moments with Andrew. The man, who is good with pictures is equally effective with his words, praising his love's work and even being honest with her during tough times. “He does (watch her films) and is amazingly honest. He spoils me with his compliments. He’s like, “You’re such an amazing actor, you’re really good!” and I’m like, 'You don’t have to say that just because you love me.' But I think he really means it and it means a lot to me because I know he is someone who will never lie even to me. Sometimes, I’m really upset if a film hasn’t done well and he’ll watch it and tell me what he felt was wrong. It matters to me what he thinks,” Ileana shared. Andrew will surely be looking forward to her next, ‘Raid’ opposite Ajay Devgn, which will hit the theatres on 16 March. Sridevi is no more. The lady superstar passed away in Dubai after suffering a massive cardiac arrest. #RIPSridevi Actress Sridevi, 54, one of the most celebrated actresses of the Hindi film industry, and widely regarded as its first female superstar, has passed away.
According to sources, the English Vinglish actress had gone to Ras al Khaimah for Kapoor's nephew Mohit Marwaha's wedding. While her husband and daughter Khushi returned to Mumbai, Sridevi stayed back in Dubai, where she suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Her elder daughter, Janhavi Kapoor, hadn't joined the family for the celebrations as she is shooting for her debut film, Dhadak, which is expected to release in July this year. Incidentally, Boney Kapoor's first wife, Mona Kapoor, too had passed away, months before her son Arjun's film debut. She made her debut in 1978 with "Solva Sawan". But it was only after five years, that she gained commercial success with Jeetendra-starrer "Himmatwala". Sri Devi had worked in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. She was awarded with Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, in 2013. After starring in home production "Judaai", she had taken a 15-year break from movies. She had continued to remain a powerhouse of talent after her comeback with 2012's "English Vinglish". She stunned fans with her performance as a villainous queen in "Puli", which also marked her comeback to Tamil cinema after a gap of more than two decades. She described herself on Twitter as "Actor-MOM-Housewife-Actor Again!" Padmaavat is set for release on January 25. Clearing the way for the nationwide release of Bollywood period drama Padmaavat, the Supreme Court on Thursday stayed notifications issued by four states prohibiting its screening. The Court also asked the States to provide security to the film crew if required. A bench of Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra and Justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud prima facie accepted the petitioner’s contention that once Central Board of Film Certification had cleared a movie, States cannot interfere with it. “Once the Parliamentary legislation confers the responsibility and power on a statutory board and board grants Certificate, non-exhibition of it by states will be contrary to statutory provisions”, the court said in its interim order. The apex court also reminded that it was the “duty and obligation of States to maintain law and order”. Senior Counsel Harish Salve who appeared for Viacom18, the movie producer, urged the court to order security for the film crew saying they were being threatened. The court agreed to this and said keeping in view of the situation, the State must provide them security if they ask for it. Appearing for the states, Additional Solicitor General Tushar Mehta sought for more time to reply to the petition saying more facts needed to be brought on record. “Suppose there is a rumour against a community which is in majority in my state, can’t I take action”, Mehta asked and added, “we have intelligence record and we want to place them on record”. The CJI did not accept this and said: “If you go by this, 60 percent of literature, even classical literature of India cannot be read.” Mehta repeatedly sought for more time saying there was no urgency in the matter as the film was set for release only on January 25. But Justice Chandrachud countered this saying “it is important, valued Constitutional rights are at stake”. The court will hear the matter next on March 26. The lovebirds who have been dating together since 2013 are celebrating their big day at a luxury villa in Tuscany, Italy.
Mumbai: It’s official! What could be one of the most talked about marriages in the recent times, in connection with Indian star couples, has happened in Italy as Team India skipper Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma tied the knot.
The wedding ceremony took place at Borgo Finocchieto, a countryside resort in Italy which also happens to be one of the most expensive holiday properties in the world. The two shared photos of their social media channels with a message, reading: “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”
The internationally popular film database website has released the list of most popular Indian stars this year. Mumbai: With the conclusion of 2017 nearing, the awards and polls season also kicks off, as was evident with a popular film awards show being held last week.
While those awards were based more on performances, here is a list based on statistics. Popular worldwide film database website IMDb has announced the Top Indian filmstars of the year, based on StarMeter stats and page views. The three Khans, Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman, who have been ruling the industry for more than 25 years now, have also ruled this list, taking the top three spots respectively. The next set of trio to dominate the list are the actors from the blockbuster ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, which shattered box office records galore this year. Tamannaah Bhatia, who only had a miniscule part in the sequel of ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, was placed at number 4, well ahead of the titular character Prabhas, who took the sixth position. Prabhas’ romantic interest in the film Anushka Shetty took the number eight spot in the list. Among other popular stars, Anushka Sharma, Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif were placed seventh, ninth and tenth respectively, while internationally recognised star Irrfan Khan, who delivered a hit with ‘Hindi Medium’, was at number 5. However, the absence of Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, who have massive following worldwide, from the list is surprising. Check the list here |
