Unofficial sources say that the Superstar plays in a role for which director KS Ravi Kumar has drawn inspiration from the British engineer John Pennycuick, who was instrumental in building the Dam. While this rumour is making rounds in the tinsel town, film analysts wonder if Rajini would be touching upon such a sensitive issue at this stage of his career. It is said that the story requires the presence of two comedians and it is Rajini’s wish to have Vadivelu in the star cast. Talks are on with the Tenaliraman hero to play the comedian in Lingaa and it is likely that he may sign on the dotted lines very soon. Lingaa, produced by Rockline Venkatesh, stars Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka as the heroines for Rajinikanth. The movie started with a formal pooja at Samundeeswari temple early in the morning.
