Akshay Kumar's Padman and Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2 will clash at the box office on Republic Day 2018.
Akshay Kumar's Padman might have avoided box-office clash with Rajinikanth's 2.0, but Khiladi Kumar will now lock horns with Kamal Haasan on Republic Day 2018.
Kamal's Vishwaroopam 2 has been in the making for a long time, but the shooting was put on hold for some time due to his other work commitments. And now the actor has resumed the shooting of the film. The last schedule of the film is being shot in Chennai. Trade Analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to share the news and wrote, "Ulaganayagan @ikamalhaasan has resumed Vishwaroopam2's final leg of shoot in #Chennai recently. Movie will release for #RepublicDay2018. Trailer will release sometime in Dec."
With Kamal Haasan moving over to Uthama Villain and busy with the film’s shooting, as he intends to complete it before the end of May and move over to Drishyam remake, there is a rumour that he is not interested in releasing Vishwaroopam 2 anymore.
One of the reasons cited for this is that Kamal and producer Aascar Ravichandran are not in good terms and hence the delay. However, sources in the know have rubbished it as pure rumours. Clarifying that the production house has three films to be released, the first movie that will be out is the Jai and Nazriya starrer Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah and this will be followed by either Vikram’s Ai or Kamal’s Vishwaroopam 2, state sources. Which of these two films arrive at the theatres first will depend on the completion of post productions works, add sources. |
