It has been nearly two and half years since Boologham went into making. Finally, the film went in for censor certification and is now waiting for a suitable release date. Sources say that since Boologham has been made on a budget of 24 crores, which is very high considering Jayam Ravi’s market status, plans are on to release it without too much of competition. It is averred by sources that the filmmakers are waiting for Kochadaiiyaan to hit the screens first and after it is safely out of the way they would go ahead with Boologham’s release. If you are wondering what could be the common factor between Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kochadaiyaan’, Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’ and Ajith’s 55th film, the answer is EROS International. Yes, according to reliable sources, EROS has bagged the distribution rights of ‘Kaththi’, directed by AR Murugadoss and ‘Ajith 55′, directed by Gautham Menon. It is worth mentioning that they have already bagged the rights of Soundarya R Ashwin’s debut venture ‘Kochadaiyaan’.
While ‘Kochadaiyaan’ is all set to hit the screens on May 9th, ‘Kaththi’ will be hitting the screens for Diwali this year. The release date of ‘Ajith 55′ is yet to be announced though. Sonakshi Sinha has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Superstar Rajinikanth. Confirming that this film will go on floors in May this year, the pretty actress also revealed that it is an action entertainer. There have been speculations that Rajini’s next would also be an animation film on the lines of Kochadaiiyaan, but according to Sonakshi it is a complete action-packed entertainer that all Rajini fans will love. To be directed by KS Ravi Kumar, this film is expected to hit the screens later this year or early next year. With some organizations threatening a stir against the release of Vadivelu’s Jagajala Pujabala Thenaliraman, the producers of the film, AGS Entertainment, have released a press note reiterating that it is a completely fictitious story that has no connection with the real-life Thenaliraman and King Krishnadevarayar of the Vijayanagar Kingdom. According to the press note released: “The Tamil film titled ‘Thenaliraman’ produced by us is an Imaginary story conceived on the basis of ‘Tenaliraman’ moral stories etc. This film reflects neither the life history of ‘Tenaliraman’ nor that of any person with whom said ‘Tenaliraman” is associated with / lived with. The story of the film is an imaginary one reflecting the life style of people who lived in B.C 15th Century in the back drop of the present happenings and events. All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblances to real persons, living or dead are purely coincidental.” Music composer Vijay Antony turned as a lead hero with the film Naan that released in 2012. Thanks to the gripping script and Vijay Antony's decent performance, the film was a commercial success as well garnering critical acclaims. This encouraged Vijay Antony produce another filmwith himself playing the lead role. The film has been titled as Salim and it is being directed by N.V.Nirmal Kumar. No before the release of Salim, Vijay has launched his third acting venture. The film comes with a interesting title 'India Pakistan' and the tagline says 'Toss Pottachu'. The first look poster released today suggest that the film revolves around the game of cricket. The film is going to be directed by debutante N.Anand. The film kick starts today with a song recording. Like his earlier 'lead hero' ventures, Vijay Antony is producing this flick under his Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner. Gautham Karthik and Rakul Preet starrer Yennamo Yedho has been certified with a clean ‘U’ certificate. The film, which is the remake of the Telugu blockbuster Ala Modalaindi, is all set to hit the screens later this month. Directed by Ravi Thyagarajan, this film is produced by Ravi Prasad Productions. Impressed with the way it has been made, Kalaipuli S Dhanu has decided to distribute the venture under his banner. Gautham Karthik is confident that Yennamo Yedho will be a huge success and put him at the next level of his career and so does his fans. Actor Dhanush and Akshara Haasan were spotted on the sets of R. Balki's upcoming film at the Mehboob Studio in Mumbai. Apart from the young actors, director/producer Karan Johar and Gauri Shinde (Balki's wife and "English Vinglish" director) were also present on the sets. The untitled flick is the second Bollywood outing for Dhanush, who made a fantastic debut in last year's "Raanjhanaa." The film will mark the acting debut of Akshara, who is the younger daughter of versatile actor Kamal Haasan. Bachchan had confirmed the news and tweeted, "R Balki me on again for the next film, a unique story as is the norm with him, and working with Dhanush and Akshara Kamal's daughter." The legendary actor will be seen appearing in a pivotal role in the film. Considering it is a Balki directorial, expectations are high from film's cast and crew.
