Fans of Thala Ajith upset about his future plans?

It’s an open secret that both Ajith and Vijay are professional rivals in the Tamil film industry. Though both the actors say that they are friends, you can always notice a pattern in the teaser, trailer and film announcements of their films, which indirectly creates huge fight among their fans on social media. 

There is no big effort from the side of these two actors to put a full stop to this needless hatred spreading on the internet because their stardom is only based on such blind fan following.

Though Vijay has a high success rate comparing to Ajith, from time to time, the latter has proven his box office mettle with big blockbusters like Billa, Mankatha, and Vedalam. But the recent failure of Ajith’s Vivegam and historic box office performance of Vijay’s Mersal has caused sleepless nights  for Ajith fans, who feel that it’s high time that their favorite actor should come out of Siva’s team and explore new combinations.

Media reports say that Ajith will be joining hands with director Siva once again for the fourth time after Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam. No one can deny the success of Veeram and Vedalam but the failure and harsh criticisms against Vivegam have raised a doubt about the credibility of the combo. 

If you look at some of the Twitter profiles of ardent Ajith fans, they have started criticizing Thala’s decision to join hands with director Siva again. Yes, it’s unfair to judge a director with one failure but looking at the majority of the actor’s fans, it looks like, they want Ajith to join hands with some other commercial director.  In the past, fans of Ajith have stayed loyal  even when he gave continuous disasters at the box office but now, they want him to explore new scripts and directors. 

On the other side, Vijay too has given many mindless commercial films but currently, he has two directors (Atlee and Murugadoss), who rightly make use of his stardom and make films, which get favorable reviews from critics and general audiences. Maybe, it’s time for Ajith to go back to his hit directors like Venkat Prabhu and Vishnuvardhan (both waiting for his green signal) or to work with some other promising young filmmakers.

There is a buzz that Pushkar Gayathri of Vikram Vedha fame is penning a script for Ajith, hope the news is true and bring back the excitement to Thala army.
